Be a Scribe.

Oh, how has the world changed; from those subtle moments of man's very conception. Oh, how hundreds of thousands of years can seem to have happen in an instant. The beginnings of the written word has evolved with man, as did their thoughts, ideas, ways of governance, and especially (the most obvious aspect of man's history) the way they conducted in warfare. It is said that:

Writing was a hallmark of the urban revolution five thousand years ago... Urban societies required many occupations that had not existed in the agricultural village, but foremost among these was the writer, or scribe... the scribe, by virtue of his ability to read and write, provided the glue that held complex societies together.

It seems customary for my first blog, or post to be dedicated to those who came before. Especially in terms of evolution and the written word. Oh, how has the world changed, from words being written on cave walls, to its transition from the Gutenberg press, to the very machine that enables me to type this blog. On a computer, and soon to be cell phone. So, to all my fellow scribes and artisans of words, this blog is dedicated to the very first word, and to all of you readers and writers as well. For together, we are the glue that holds and binds this complex "online" society together.
